TRESMATAS CRIANZA 2019 has been awarded the Gold Medal at the 30th Mundus Vini International Grand Prix 2022, considered the most important competition in Germany and one of the most recognized in Europe.
Bodegas Vega de Yuso, receives recognition with the TresMatas Crianza 2019 wine, achieving the Gold medal at Mundus Vini, in its spring 2022 tasting, one of the most prestigious events in the world in this sector, in which the jury -oenologists , producers and distributors, as well as specialized journalists from all over the world – taste the wines in a blind tasting and in a professional manner during 20 days.
TresMatas Crianza, is the emblematic wine of the winery, which stands out for its elegance and structure. It is made with vineyards aged between 25 and 45 years and is aged for 18 months in barrels. Made under the quality reference D.O. Ribera del Duero. The harvest was carried out in mid-September with a result of the vintage classified as «Excellent». Vineyards of the Tempranillo variety, 25 to 45 years old, located in Olivares and Valbuena de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, with a production of average of 5,000 kg/ha and a type of clayey-calcareous soil.The winemaker is Rubén Iglesias, also Owner and Manager of the winery.
In tasting we will find a very lively, intense and very covered cherry red wine, as well defined by the vintage. It is a powerful wine, with personality, structured, balanced without sharp edges. With a long aftertaste, leaving memories of persistent roasted tones.
